I was sitting in a park enjoying a rare moment of tranquility in the sunshine and watching the pigeons strutting about, pecking at crumbs. The one that caught my attention though, was not strutting like the others. Instead, he was distinctly limping. As he came closer, competing with the others for his share of the crumbs scattered around, I could see why he was different. He had only one foot. At the end of his right leg he only had a stump, where his foot used to be.
