I have decided to be lazy and let other people's writing be the subject of this blog offering. I am going to list some of my favourite "inspiration" karate books, all of which I strongly recommend that anyone with an interest in martial arts should read. These are not "technical" books to teach techniques, katas or biomechanics - I have plenty of those too - but are stories of real experiences, and give insights into the lives and thoughts of some of the great masters and students of the martial arts. These books therefore go beyond technical manuals which may only be relevant to a single style or organisation, and can be appreciated equally by people from any martial arts background.
